That's not the memory - that's the storage space. Not only that, but I can see them perfectly clearly, both in the email and also in Photoshop, the latter which I used to see if doing a 'Save As' might resolve things. Trust me, there's absolutely loads of available memory space on my PC, 1.24Tb to be precise. Close some programs that you aren’t using or free some hard disk space (if it’s almost full) and then try again. Windows Photo Viewer can’t display this picture because there might not be enough memory available on your computer.
Strange thing is, although they're ostensibly straightforward jpegs originating from a mobile phone, the following message appears when I try to open them: When you think about it, how else would I know if he'd done a proper job?!
